Prince Collins Ezeiruaku -
Whenever we spoke she listened, truly listened. She did not listen to respond, if you know what i mean. Then she would ask to consider another angle, often pointing out other considerations. It was always one more thing to add, something of value.
She was not intimidated by excellence, she embraced it, supported it, engendered it, embodied it. Short as our interactions were, they always got me thinking of improvement.
Then came her avid learning posture. That humbled me. There was something more to add, one more thing to learn. It takes a strength of character not to rely on past glory.
My sister Yinka this is my experience of you and I am grateful we crossed paths.
So, it did not make sense to me that:
10am Tuesday 7th April 2026 I was having a conversation with a fellow MLTeer: “Muiywa, Yinka was really excited when I hinted at this program. I have delayed too long. I will call her after our meeting tomorrow to brief her.”
Only to have read by 2:30pm 7th April 2026 the message my sister Bisi had posted earlier on the Maxwell Leadership Team Platform:
“It is with the saddest and deepest regret that…..”
“No…!! It can’t be!!! I am meant to call her. We have one more thing to do to add value.
Rest my Sister knowing that your deposit in us lives on and will passed on to one more person. You were one of the unseen bulwarks in my life.
